On the road

  • Both expressways are cashless (RFID only): SLEX takes Autosweep, CALAX takes Easytrip. One tag enrolled in “One RFID, All Tollways” covers both.
  • Group photos follow the mass. Head to the garden right after them. Traffic builds in the late afternoon.
  • Ad Meliora is a garden venue — block heels are your friend.

Then and now

Same smiles, a few years later

Now: Joboy, in an olive polo and light chinos, and Anna, in a brown sleeveless top and jeans, sit on a wooden bench holding hands against a lavender backdrop; she smiles at the camera and he smiles at her.
Then: Joboy as a little boy in a white barong and grey trousers, and Anna as a little girl in a white ball gown, side by side in old film prints.
Little Joboy in his barong, little Anna in her gown. Already dressed for the occasion.

Our story

How it started

We met as officemates at HaelthTech, a small startup in Alabang, two friends in the same barkada sharing lunches and deadlines. When we moved on to different jobs, the friendship stayed. Then the pandemic slowed the world down, and our late-night chats got longer. When the world opened up again, so did we: one coffee turned into many, and somewhere along the way, friends became more.

Joboy still insists Anna had a crush on him first. (She didn't. Please don't bring it up.)

On top of Mt. Moiwa in Sapporo, under the Bell of Happiness, he asked. The mountain's webcam was streaming live, and our friends caught it up close. She said yes.
